If you’ve ever wanted to join a Book Club, but haven’t been able to make the time and commitment, or if you just really love short stories, come join our Short Stories Book Club! During each session, we’ll listen to a reading of the short story together, and then discuss the story over snacks.

For April 11th - we’ll be reading “The Adventure of the Speckled Band” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (a Sherlock Holmes short story!).

“A Walk in Their Shoes: Dementia Simulation” Tuesday, April 28th, 5:00-6:00pm

Allow our dementia experts to take you through a simulation experience to better understand and empathize with what living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia can be like. We will guide you through the challenges of compromised vision, hearing, and dexterity, which all affect cognition.

Event takes place at Hartland Public Library, 61 Center Street, West Hartland, CT.

“Nature Ranger’s Club”

Calling All Budding Naturalists!

Hello from the Nature Ranger’s Club, a program for preschoolers (ages 3-4) where little ones are introduced to the world of nature. Each month, we feature a species of local flora and/or fauna (plants and animals!) found here in our beautiful Northwestern Hills. Blending art & science, sessions include ecological tidbits reinforced with an associated storybook reading, arts & crafts, and more!
